Thermodynamic property measurements for a gas-phase propane + isobutane system by the Burnett method.

Summary

The authors aimed to conduct the gas-phase thermodynamic property measurements for the binary R290 + R600a system by the Burnett-isochoric coupled method. In addition to this binary mixture measurement, thermodynamic properties for each single component are also discussed. The experimental study covers a wide range of temperatures from 260 to 380 K, pressures up to 5 MPa, and densities up to (3/4) critical density. On the basis of the present thermodynamic properties measurements, a truncated virial equation of state for the binary R290 + R600a system was also developed.
