A SUMMARIZED THERMODYNAMIC APPROACH, TOGETHER WITH THE MODELLI NG OF EQUATIONS OF STATE OF RANDOM GAS MIXTURES WITH STEAM AS A COMPONENT UNDERGOING PHASE TRANSFORMATIONS OF THE WATER-STEAM OR ICE-STEAM KINDS. THESE INCLUDE FROSTING ON THE HEAT EXCHANGING SURFACES OF THE AIR COOLERS, MASS LOSS BY PRODUCTS UNDERGOING COLD PROCESSING ANDSTORAGE, PROJECTION OF FAN AND EJECTOR COOLING TOWERS AND PROCESS MODELLING IN HIGH-ALTITUDE CHAMBERS. A GOOD AGREEMENT WITH EXPERIMENTAL DATA WAS ACHIEVED FOR THE PROCESSES OCCURRING IN THE TEMPERATURE RANGE -50 TO 50 DEG C, AT PRESSURES UP TO 1.0 MEGAPASCAL FOR GAS MIXTURES OF RELATIVE HUMIDITIES RANGING FROM 0. 2 TO 1.0. MODELLING CORRELATIONS WERE CONSTRUCTED FROM MEASURABLE PHYSICAL VALUES WHICH CAN BE EFFICIENTLY APPLIED TO THE CREATION OF SYSTEMS FOR THE REGULATION OF EQUIPMENT.
