Summary

R141B (1.1-DICHLORO-1-FLUOROETHANE) IS A PROMISING REPLACEMENT FOR R11 (TRICHLOROFLUOROMETHANE) WHICH IS USED AS A REFRIGERANT IN MEDIUM CENTRIFUGAL WATER CHILLERS. THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS PAPER IS TO PROVIDE THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF THIS NEW REFRIGERANT. THE DATA HAVE BEEN CORRELATED WITH AN EQUATION OF STATE OF MARTIN AND HOU TYPE, WHICH WAS USED TO DESCRIBE THE THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF R141B. COMPARATIVE, THEORETICAL THERMODYNAMIC PERFORMANCES OF R11 AND R141B ARE ALSO GIVEN.
