Summary

This is the Spanish translation of a paper presented at the IIR meeting in Dinan, France (see the Bulletin of the IIR, reference 2007-0206). A multi-component multi-phase fluid dynamic theory is applied to calculate convective flow with particle stratification. The main equations are combined with Stokes law to describe the behaviour of stratified fluids. The boundary conditions are met by applying a shooting method in the solving process of the basic flow differential equation. As a result particle density profiles and related velocity profiles are determined. They show homogeneous flow, heterogeneous flow, moving-bed and stationary-bed flow. By applying these theoretical-numerical tools and after a calibration with experimental results accurate flow phase diagrams of ice slurry may be produced. This would be a much less time consuming process than only relating on experimentation.
