Summary

A Japanese data base for air conditioning systems was used to examine the influence of air conditioning waste heat on the urban thermal environment. The amount of waste heat from air conditioning systems in the Osaka city area was estimated for 1977, 1985 and 1993, and the distribution of detectable waste heat was also estimated.
