USING RELATIONSHIPS BASED ON EXISTING LITERATURE, ACCURATE ESTIMATES CAN BE MADE OF THE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY AND VISCOSITY BEHAVIOUR OF R12 UNDER A WIDE RANGE OF VAPOUR PHASE CONDITIONS. THESE ESTIMATES CAN BE USED FOR THE DETERMINATION OF THE PRANDTL NUMBER. FOR ILLUSTRATIVE PURPOSES THE RESULTS HAVE BEEN PRESENTED IN THE FORM OF DIAGRAMS, BUT IT IS CLEAR THAT THE EQUATIONS ARE OF MORE FUNDAMENTAL UTILITY IN THAT THEY LEND THEMSELVES TO COMPUTER-GENERATED SOLUTIONS FOR PARTICULAR CASES OF INTEREST.
