Transport properties of 1,1-difluoroethane (R152a).

Author(s) : KRAUSS R., STEPHAN K.

Summary

New practical formulations for the viscosity and thermal conductivity of R152a in terms of temperature and density are presented. The evaluation of the available experimental data showed partly considerable inconsistencies between different data sets. The viscosity could be represented by a unique formulation valid in the entire fluid phase. No theoretically based evaluation for the thermal conductivity was feasible in the critical region, because an equation of state for this region is still missing. Hence, a few thermal conductivity data showing critical-enhancement effects therefore had to be excluded from the evaluation, and two different equations for the excess thermal conductivity in the vapour and liquid phase were established. In the critical region these equations are only valid at saturation state.
