Two-stage screw compressor units: an alternative for power and cost-conscious users.
Author(s) : ENGELHARDT J.
Summary
For large-scale refrigeration systems, which operate at low evaporation temperatures and high compression ratios, the use of two-stage screw compressor units is strongly recommended. These units are available with a capacity range between 471 and 5800 m3/h. Two-stage screw compressor units are fitted with both a low-pressure and a high-pressure compressor, each driven by a separate motor. The compressors are mounted on a common base frame and are monitored by a common compressor controller. Main features as well as technical and economical performances are investigated.
