Use of a new type of heat transformer in a heating power station powered by refuse incineration for the production of high-temperature steam with the aid of waste heat.

Summary

In industry, considerable quantities of low-temperature heat are produced as residual heat. Due to an absence of applications or of suitable applications, this heat flow is often given off unused into the environment. The operation of a new type of heat transformer in a heating power station powered by refuse incineration has been reported with which low-temperature heat in the range of 80 °C can be used effectively. The temperature of usable heat produced by the heat transformer is in the range of 140 °C. This high-quality heat is used in the power station for various processes. Waste heat alone is used to operate the plant and to provide small amounts of electrical energy for running the solution pumps.
