Summary

THE STABILITY OF POLYMERS WAS STUDIED: POLYESTER GLUE, COLD AND HOT-HARDENING EPOXY GLUES, GEN-150 V ELASTOMER AND LITURENE, IN HALOCARBON-OIL MIXTURES AND BRINE AT TEMPERATURES OF 223 TO 323 K (-50 TO 50 DEG C). THE BEST RESULTS WERE OBTAINED FOR HOT-HARDENING EPOXY RESINS AND POLYESTER RESINS. THEY CAN BE USED FOR THE REPAIR OF HALOCARBON REFRIGERATING EQUIPMENT WITHOUT LIMITATION. THE TESTED MATERIALS ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR OPERATION IN AMMONIA.
