Using liquid pumps in the recovery-recycling industry.

Summary

Small gear pumps driven by external motor via an inbuilt magnetic coupling are being used to pump liquid refrigerant. These are invaluable additions to CFC recovery units handling systems where large volumes of liquid refrigerant are encountered, such as centrifugal chillers. These pumps need no lubrication and all construction materials are suitable for use with CFCs and substitute refrigerants. They are also useful in recycling units where refrigerant is pumped through a system of filters for reclamation purposes. D.W.H.
