Vapour pressure behaviour of hydrocarbon-oil mixtures.

Summary

The vapour pressure behaviour of the hydrocarbons propane, isobutane, n-butane and isopentane in mixtures with diester oil were determined experimentally. The deviation of the measured vapour pressure from the values calculated by mass fraction was always positive. This difference increases at the same temperature and same concentration with decreasing boiling temperature of the hydrocarbons. On a molar basis the deviation is both positive and negative. The deviation calculated on a molar basis is smaller than the results based on mass fraction.
