Summary

This European standard is part of a series of standards. This part of EN 13141 specifies the laboratory methods used to test externally and internally mounted air transfer devices operating with pressure differences. It applies to any device located in between two spaces (in between a room and the outside, or in between two rooms). It describes the tests designed to determine the following characteristics: flow/pressure; anti-return capacity; "airtightness in the event of a shutdown" (for externally mounted air transfer devices that can be shutdown); free geometrical surface area; air diffusion in the occupied zone; insulation with regards to airborne acoustic noise; water penetration.
