Very low temperature thermal conductivity of amorphous solids.

Number: pap. 004

Author(s) : VENTURA G., MARTELLI V., RISEGARI L., et al.

Summary

In this paper, the authors examine published data of the thermal conductivity of amorphous solids below 1 K and show that many of them give an m˜2 when the fit of data is limited to the lower temperature range. Thus, a forecast of the thermal conductivity of these materials below 0.1 K can be attempted using the value of ? at 0.1 K and a quadratic dependence on temperature.
