Summary

Water-ammonia solution is included into the group of natural refrigerants, and it is the main refrigerant for absorption refrigeration machines and heat pumps. The authors examined the possibility of using the water-ammonia mixture as a refrigerant for compressor refrigeration machines. In the course of research there was carried out a thermodynamic analysis of cycles for water-ammonia machines; schemes of one-step compression were elaborated.
