Summary
THE PAPER PRESENTS THE MEAN MONTHLY TEMPERATURES FOR JORDAN AND SHOWS THAT THE TRADITIONAL VALUE OF 291.3 K (18.3 DEG C) IS NOT A SUITABLE BASE TEMPERATURE FOR EVALUATINGTHE HEATING DEGREE-DAYS IN JORDAN. BY THERMALLY ANALYZING A TYPICAL JORDANIAN RESIDENCE, A BASE TEMPERATURE OF 288.5 K (15. 5 DEG C) IS RECOMMENDED. DEGREE-DAYS FOR 24 LOCATIONS IN JORDAN ARE GIVEN.
