Type of article: Periodical article
Summary
The irrigation test data are tabulated on yield and storage losses during 7 months at 0-1 °C and 75-80% relative humidity. If onions are to be used fairly quickly, then maximum yields can be achieved by keeping the soil at 80-90% of field capacity. However, if they are to be stored for a long time then it is best to keep the soil at 70% of field capacity throughout the growing season.
