Summary
A facility has been built for the testing of different car air-conditioning systems under realistic conditions. Upon determination of the characteristics of a standard type R134a air-conditioning unit, a newly developed adsorption unit employing zeolite-water as working substances ("zeolite rotor") was tested at the same test facility. A comparison of COPs, mass and volume-related cooling rates of both types of units is given.
