Zeotropic refrigerant blends in centrifugal chillers.

Summary
As recently as two years ago it was largely thought that it would be impossible to use zeotropic refrigerant blends in centrifugal chillers. Certainly, conventional wisdom has decreed that zeotropic refrigerant blends (those designated by ASHRAE as 400 series refrigerants) cannot be used in flooded evaporator systems. Recently, however, engineers have come to the realisation that some blends are eminently suitable for use in these systems.
