Member news: Automated order-pickup kiosks use containers from Carrier Transicold

Member news: grocery kiosks are being set up in Estonia. The CO2 refrigeration system is supplied by Carrier Transicold.

stonian company Cleveron manufactures automated “click and collect” solutions for various applications. Recently, it has developed grocery kiosks that provide automated, contactless distribution of groceries from retailer to consumer. This alternative to in-store shopping in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic is interesting. It also allows withdrawals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Cleveron has teamed up with Carrier Transicold, a collective member of the IIR, to equip these kiosks with NaturaLine containers, which  are often used in the maritime transport of perishable or frozen food. Their adapted size (6 to 12 meters long), tight temperature control as well as the choice of the refrigerant used (CO2, or R411, with a GWP of 1) guidedCleveron’s choice.
