Kenya confirms acceptance of the Kigali Amendment
Kenya becomes the 154th country to ratify the Kigali Amendment.
At the 35th Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol (MOP-35) held on 23-27 octobre 2023 in Nairobi, Kenya, Roselinda Soipan Tuya, Cabinet Secretary at the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry, announced that Kenya had recently ratified the Kigali Amendment. She also outlined implementation efforts, including the training of refrigeration and air conditioning (RAC) technicians in the use of energy-efficient technologies.[1] Earlier this year, Kenya launched its National Cooling Action Plan, designed to enhance access to sustainable cooling.
