ShareNew joint IIR-FAO actions in Africa
Following a workshop organized by the FAO and the IIR in Yaoundé, Cameroun, in 2012, the FAO and the IIR drafted two essential joint documents, now available on their respective websites in French (the English version is underway).
A new step in joint IIR-FAO actions in Africa and other developing countries, these documents cover the workshop report on the cold chain in Sub-Saharan Africa and a policy brief on how to develop regionally the cold chain in the food sector.
Both publications insist on the importance of the cold chain in reducing post-harvest losses and present recommendations for governments as well as the public and private sectors.

Thematic files
Thematic files prepared by the IIR summarize key information in various refrigeration fields:
- in-depth files present trends, data and figures on relatively broad themes (cold chain, compressors…)
- summarizing files crystallize specific themes (thermophysical properties of refrigerants…).
