The US ice cream industry

The  US ice-cream industry  generated USD10 billion in  revenue in 2010 with take-home sales representing  nearly 68% of ice cream sales.
Frozen yogurt is  gaining in popularity.
Retail  sales were up by 9.7% from 2011  to 2012. It is the  highest growth  category in the  ice-cream/frozen  novelty segment.
