Summary

Because of the good properties of heat and mass transfer enhancement, nanofluid has been got more and more attention. If the nanofluid is used in a closed cycle instead of the general liquid, it will achieve good effect of heat and mass transfer. Futhermore, the drag reduction of nanofluids have been found gradually in recent years, which may supply a potential application of saving pumping power for the cycle. This paper will mainly analyze the mechanism of different types of drag reduction nanofluids. According to the different components of the nanofluids, the introduction will be divided into two main aspects. The surfactant and the nanoparticles. For the effect of the nanoparticles, it will also divided into two parts from whether the basefluid is the hydrogenbond liquids. It is expected that this study can give some basic ideas for the currently mechanism and future research prospects of drag reduction nanofluid.
