Summary

One of the aims that the manufacturers of modern vehicles have in mind is the development of new and the optimization of the existing systems for achieving and maintaining thermal comfort in the passenger area. Thermal neutrality is a necessary but not sufficient condition for achieving thermal comfort for the majority of passengers. In addition to providing the conditions of thermal neutrality of a body as a whole, it is necessary to provide non-existence of any local thermal discomfort on any part of the body as a whole. In addition to the percentage of the dissatisfied there is a reference to thermal conditions specificity in vehicles. The results obtained from two seats were processed based on laboratory research for four selected outdoor temperatures.
