Summary
THE PROJECT HAS DETERMINED THE POWER AND ENERGY SAVINGS RESULTING FROM A COMBINATION OF HEAT EXCHANGER AND HEAT PUMP FOR THE PROVISION OF HEATING AND VENTILATION AIR TO TWO EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT. A COMPARISON WAS MADE WITH THE GISLAVED EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT, WHICH IS VERY SIMILAR TO THE KUMLA PLANT, BUT WHICH USES THE HEAT PUMP ONLY FOR HEATING. THE COP FOR THE ENTIRE INSTALLATION IN KUMLA WAS 4.2, AS AGAINST A CORRESPONDING FIGURE FOR GISLAVED OF 2.2.
