Summary

Blood disposal in abattoirs presents problems. Due to its highly polluting nature, blood cannot treated in conventional sewage treatment plants. Two outlets have been created thanks to refrigeration technology: the elaboration of organic fertilizers for gardens and products for the food industry. J.G.
