A METHOD TO DETERMINE THE EFFECTS OF FIN SPACING, COIL DEPTH, FACE VELOCITY, AND FAN TYPE ON THE FROSTING OF EVAPORATORS WAS DEVELOPED UTILIZING COMPUTER-SIMULATED EVAPORATOR AND CONDENSING UNIT CHARACTERISTICS. A STUDY WAS MADE TO ILLUSTRATE THE USE OF THE METHOD AND TO ASSESS THE EFFECTS ON HEAT PUMP PERFORMANCEUNDER FROSTING CONDITIONS.
