A SYSTEM WAS STUDIED WHICH COMPRISES A SOLAR-BOOSTED HEAT PUMP, A NATURAL GAS ENGINE AND AN OUTDOOR PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL. THE HEAT PUMP USES R22 WHICH CIRCULATES IN THE UNGLAZED SOLAR PANELS. THE SYSTEM IS INSTALLED IN FITZROY, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA. DURING THE NIGHT, THE SWIMMING POOL IS COVERED. RECENTLY THIS SYSTEM HAS PROVIDED HEATING FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES THE HEAT PUMP SYSTEM AND THE MAIN COMPONENTS.
