A new absorption cycle based on "reverse rectification".

Un nouveau cycle à absorption basé sur la rectification inverse.

Author(s) : LE GOFF P., LABIDI J.

Summary

Many industrial processes produce large quantities of waste heat, in the form of more or less polluted waste water, at temperatures from 60 to 100 deg C. Revalorizing such low-level heat is possible by raising its temperature with a heat pump. The principle of a new type-II heat pump (heat transformer) is presented. It is based on the concept of "reverse rectification" (reverse fractional distillation). The waste heat is thus upgraded to around 150 to 200 deg C.
