A new class of high-performance, environmentally sound refrigerants.

Author(s) : LANKFORD L., NIMITZ J.

Summary

The authors identified a versatile set of near-azeotropic blends possessing attractive physical properties and having potential use as alternative refrigerant fluids. These blends are non-flammable, non-corrosive, have low toxicity, low environmental impact, and display high efficiency and high enthalpy of vaporization. The blends all contain fluoroiodocarbons of one to three carbons.
