Summary
A new method following the mechanism closely is presented. The thawing process as well as the freezing process are simulated more sensitively and reasonably than with any previous approach. All the simulation results of freezing and thawing penetration, frost heave, temperature, liquid water content, ice content and soil particle content profiles at different times, were in good agreement with existing data.
