Summary

A NUMERICAL SIMULATION WAS MADE FOR TRANSIENT LAMINAR CONVECTION IN THE THERMAL INLET OF A CIRCULAR DUCT WITH FULLY DEVELOPED VELOCITY PROFILE. AN IMPLICIT NUMERICAL ALGORITHM WAS DEVELOPED. THE TRANSIENT WALL TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION AFTER A SUDDEN CHANGE IN THE DENSITY OF THE HEAT FLOW, THE TRANSIENT HEAT FLOW DENSITY DISTRIBUTION AFTER A SUDDEN WALL TEMPERATURE CHANGE AND THE VARIATION OF MEAN EXCHANGE COEFFICIENTS ARE PRESENTED IN TERMS OF SIGNIFICANT PARAMETERS. THE RESULTS SHOW THAT THESE THREE DISTRIBUTIONS GREATLY DEPEND ON TIME.
