A scheme for collecting and registration of CFC, HCFC, HFC, etc.
Author(s) : VOERS L.
Summary
In Denmark, the refrigeration industry's environmental scheme ensures that the existing as well as coming refrigerants are collected and reused and, if necessary, destructed in an environmentally proper way. From 1992 to 1995 the scheme has been implemented. The results have been: increasing of collected refrigerants, increasing of recycled refrigerants (on location), decreasing of leaks from refrigerating plants. The scheme has been made as a team work between the Danish Association of Refrigeration Contractors, importers and wholesalers of refrigerants and the Danish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The scheme includes also solutions for the future (new types of refrigerants).
