Summary

ON THE BASIS OF THE LEWIS RELATION SHOWING THE ANALOGY BETWEEN HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER, THIS PAPER INTRODUCES THE METHOD OF THE ENTHALPY AND THE WET-BULB TEMPERATURE EFFICIENCY TO CALCULATE THE HEAT TRANSFER OF A COOLING COIL UNDER WET CONDITIONS USING THE EFFICIENCY OF THE HEAT TRANSFER UNDER DRY CONDITIONS. THE FUNCTIONAL RELATION IS CLEARER AND MORE DEFINITE, AND IT IS EASY TO PRODUCE DIAGRAMS AND TABLES, THUS FACILITATING CALCULATIONS. COMPARED WITH DATA FROM MEASUREMENTS, CALCULATIONS ARE PRECISE.
