Summary

THE FIRST SUCCESSFUL CRYOPRESERVATION OF THE RUMEN PROTOZOA ENTODINIUM SIMPLEX WAS CARRIED OUT USING A SIMPLE TECHNIQUE IN THE COOLING VESSEL. THE COOLING VESSEL WAS PLACED ABOVE THE LEVEL OF LIQUIDNITROGEN. THE OPTIMAL SURVIVAL 15% WAS ACHIEVED USING 0.38 MILLILITRE/LITRE OF DMSO AS A CRYOPROTECTANT FOR 30 MIN EQUILIBRATION AT THE CONCENTRATION OF 80,000 PROTOZOA PER MILLILITRE AND AVERAGE COOLING RATE FROM 0.5 TO 2.2 K PER MIN.
