A SIMPLIFIED ESTIMATION METHOD APPLICABLE TO GLOBAL CLIMATES FOR ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF OFFICE BUILDINGS.
Author(s) : LIN H. T., YANG K. H.
Summary
THREE BUILDING VARIABLES AND 2 WEATHER VARIABLES BASED ON ONLY 24 MONTHLY TEMPERATURE AVERAGES AND 12 MONTHLY SOLAR INTENSITY AVERAGES ARE INTRODUCED IN THE ANALYSIS. THE REAL VALUES OF ANNUAL AIR CONDITIONING LOAD WERE SIMULATED AND THE HOURLY WEATHER DATA IN 18 DISTINCT CLIMATES DIS TAIWAN, KOREA, JAPAN AND THE US. THE METHOD COULD BE EASILY APPLIED BY BUILDING DESIGNERS TO EVALUATE THE THERMAL PERFORMANCE OF BUILDING ENVELOPES IN GLOBAL CLIMATES.
