DEMONSTRATES FROM A LITERATURE REVIEW ON THE PHYSICO-CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF MINERAL OIL-FLUOROCARBON MIXTURES THAT SOME OF THEM MAY BE SUITABLE FOR USE IN A SOLUTION CYCLE IN A RESORPTION COMPRESSION HEAT PUMP PROCESS. THIS TYPE OF SOLUTION CYCLE CAN RAISE THE COP BY 50% OR MORE, DEPENDING ON THE TEMPERATURE INTERVALS IN THE ABSORBER AND DESORBER. THIS IS ACHIEVED BECAUSE IT IS POSSIBLE TO MORE CLOSELY APPROACH THE NONISOTHERMAL LORENZ PROCESS. SUMMARISES IN TABLES SEVERAL WORKS ON VARIOUS MINERAL OIL/FLUOROCARBON REFRIGERANT PAIRS AND ANALYSES THE COMPRESSION HEAT PUMP WITH A PARAFFINIC OIL/R12 SOLUTION CYCLE. (INT. BUILD. SERV.
