Summary

DESCRIPTION OF A TEST METHOD AND THE RESULTS OF A STUDY IN ORDER TO DETERMINE THE ADHESION RESISTANCE OF SOLID CO2 LAYERS OF DIFFERENT DENSITIES, FROZEN ON A POLISHED COPPER AND STAINLESS STEEL PLATE. AN EMPIRICAL RELATIONSHIP WAS OBTAINED BETWEEN THE ADHESION RESISTANCE OF THE FROZEN LAYER AND ITS DENSITY. THE POSSIBILITY OF DECREASING THE ADHESION RESISTANCE OF THE SOLID CO2 LAYER BY INCREASING THE PLATE TEMPERATURE AT THE MOMENT OF SHEAR WAS STUDIED.
