Adsorption cooling as an alternative to the use of CFCs in refrigeration.

Summary
The paper describes the operating principle of adsorption refrigeration cycles. The performance of both one-reactor and two-reactor adsorption cooling systems is also discussed. A comparison between this technology and the classical vapour compression is made on the basis of the energy cost of refrigeration.
