Summary

Measured data show that a three-dimensional ultrasonic anemometer is an adequate tool for measuring the air velocity and turbulence in a clean room. The capability of a fan-filter-unit-type clean room to provide a uniform flow was confirmed. The extent of disturbance of the ceiling grid and the light fixture on uni-directional air flow was about five widths of the ceiling grid and four widths of the lamps, respectively. The flow field is anisotropic in turbulence through the whole flow field.
