Summary

Computer rooms require very little dehumidification. If coils and air flows are sized to remove moisture at all times, then this must be added again when too much is removed. Moisture is added with electrically-heated steam generators, with a high energy cost. The situation will be worse if the air flow is reduced by dirty filters. One solution is to provide large coils and air flows, and reduce the operating surface when the humidity rises too high. A.R.T.
