Ammonia absorption chillers in district cooling systems.
Author(s) : CERKVENIK B., ZIHER D., POREDOS A.
Summary
In this paper the analysis of the use of ammonia absorption cooling devices in district cooling systems is presented. The comparison between the H2O-LiBr and NH3-H2O absorption devices, as part of a district energy system, is made and the possibility to use ammonia absorption devices over the night to storage cooling energy is analyzed and discussed. With this advantage, their use, if compared to H2O-LiBr absorption devices, is in several situations more interesting and legitimate.
