Summary
In the Tokyo metropolitan area, absorption refrigeration systems are generally selected for large-scale district heating and cooling centers. In district heating and cooling centers, rationalized equipment and skillful operators are concentrated; opportunity is offered for advances in operation and maintenance techniques. Performance of the refrigeration cycle must be analyzed first. Vacuum level, cooling water temperature, and combustion stability are observed. In maintenance service, corrosion control is emphasized to ensure longer life and higher stability.
