Ammonia refrigeration applications: refrigeration of fruits and vegetables.

Summary

For industrial refrigeration warehouses, the best refrigerant to use is industrial grade ammonia. The best system depending on temperatures is a two stage system. Make sure the envelope is an "envelope" during the design and construction phase. Use of an additional high temperature system if required is recommended. Ripening rooms are recommended to have secondary type refrigerants. Use screw type compressors. Use evaporative condensers.
