A NEW METHOD FOR CALCULATING THE COOLING CURVE OF A FOOD IN A DIRECT COOLING TYPE HOME REFRIGERATOR-FREEZER IS PRESENTED. THE EFFECTS OF THREE PARAMETERS (REFRIGERATING CAPACITY, HEAT CONDUCTANCE, HEAT CAPACITY OF EVAPORATOR) ON COOLING RATE ARE DEFINED.
