An empirical equation to predict the heat capacity of fluids as a function of temperature and pressure.

Author(s) : LYONS C. G.

Summary

The specific heat of a number of liquids over a significant range of pressure, and temperature, is presented. The values of specific heat are derived from a simple equation which has been fitted to experimentally derived volumes, of these liquids. Specific heat values thus derived are compared with the small body of high pressure measured specific heat data reported in the literature.
