An experimental investigation of the effect of oil on the saturated temperature of the green refrigerant HC-290.

Author(s) : DONG M., YANG P., TONG M.

Summary

The saturated temperature of an oil-refrigerant mixture is higher than that of a pure refrigerant at the same pressure. The temperature difference is defined in this paper as "superheat temperature of oil-refrigerant mixture". The paper presents superheat temperature curves for HC-290 and widely used oil mixtures at three different oil percentages, at different saturated pressures and for vapour qualities ranging from 0 to 1.
