Summary
Three kinds of oscillation, namely, the density wave type, the pressure drop type and thermal oscillations are encountered in this experiment and the influences of system parameters are systematically studied. Based on the experimental data and two-phase flow conservation equations, a dimensionless correlation for the prediction of the onset of density wave oscillation in horizontal helically coiled tube is proposed.
