An investigation into the influence of improved refrigeration cycles and refrigerants on an energy efficient domestic refrigerator.

Summary

In recent years, emphasis has been placed on the improvement of the energy efficiency of domestic refrigerator-freezers and on reduced greenhouse emissions. The paper presents the results of a study undertaken to look into some of the aspects, such as alternative refrigerants, liquid suction heat exchanger cycles and optimized refrigerant charge, in order to improve energy efficiency.
